Dolcis Domus

Dolcis Domus L. home sweet home, there is no place like home.
I am interested in the idea of home, what that means for each person, how we understand where we live. In this exhibition of utilitarian pottery, I have drawn images of where I live on the pottery. These images are of the city I live in. I love the idea of bring the neighborhood into my domestic space; the outside world coming inside.
Thank you to the patient and hard work of my studio assistance; who have cleaned many a kiln shelves; endlessly bubble wrapped and double box many many pots for shipping. A very special thanks to the Trax Gallery, Sandy Simon, the curator and owner and brilliant potter in her own rite. She is bringing beautiful and useful pottery to Berkeley, California. This exhibition was only possible with their tireless efforts.
